Stainless caps with spark arrestor mesh replacing ones warped by a flue fire or clogged with wildfire ash and embers. After a fire, quake or nearby wildfire in Encino, we inspect before we quote and say plainly whether to burn.
Send the date, what you saw and any photos. We reply with the first step for your Encino chimney.
If something happened to your chimney in Encino, CA, the first step is to stop using it until it has been looked at. Chambers Chimney Experts handles chimney cap installation here in that order: inspect, document, then repair. Encino houses often have more than one fireplace, plus an outdoor fire pit or fireplace, and a fire in one flue does not mean the others are fine. When one chimney on a property burns, we look at every flue that shares the stack. The report lists each one separately, so repairs and any claim stay clear.

The 1994 Northridge earthquake hit this part of the Valley hard, and many Encino chimneys still carry old repairs. Hot, dry summers and wind off the hills mean outdoor fire features need the same ember care as indoor ones.

We handle chimney cap installation in these places as well, in the same order: inspect, document, then repair.
Encino houses often have more than one fireplace, plus an outdoor fire pit or fireplace, and a fire in one flue does not mean the others are fine. When one chimney on a property burns, we look at every flue that shares the stack. The report lists each one separately, so repairs and any claim stay clear. That history is why chimney cap installation here starts with a full look at the flue, so old damage and new damage are sorted before anything is quoted.
Custom estates with several fireplaces, sprawling 1950s ranch homes, and newer houses with outdoor fire features each hide damage in different spots: a liner behind a long run of tile, a smoke chamber above the damper, a crown out of sight from the street. We check each one on the house you live in.

Many Sherman Oaks chimneys went up in the building boom after the war and rode out the 1994 Northridge earthquake, some with repairs that only covered the cracks. A chimney fire in one of those flues often opens old damage along with new. After any fire or strong shake here, we start with a camera inspection before anyone talks about price.

Burbank is its own city with its own building department, so a rebuild or gas insert here is permitted through Burbank rather than Los Angeles. Many older Burbank chimneys are unreinforced brick, the type most likely to crack in a quake or a hot flue fire. We take care of the permit when a repair needs one.

Canoga Park lies a few miles from where the 1994 Northridge quake struck, and brick chimneys across the west Valley cracked, twisted or fell that morning. Many were patched rather than rebuilt. Because the neighborhood is part of the City of Los Angeles, a rebuild here goes through the city's building department, and we handle that step when a repair calls for it.

Canyon houses in Studio City often have chimneys that are hard to reach and easy to forget, sometimes with the only clear view from a neighbor's yard. After a chimney fire, the cap and crown on those stacks can hide damage for a whole season. We photograph them from the roof, since a look from the street misses too much.

Woodland Hills sits near hills where the 2018 Woolsey fire burned, and many owners here have lived through smoke, ash and evacuation warnings. After a nearby fire, we check caps, crowns and flues for ash and ember damage even when the house itself was untouched. Factory-built fireplaces get checked against their own listing.
